“Indian Bear Claw Pendant”
This one-of-a kind piece can be worn or displayed.
The main design of an Indian brave surrounded by powerful creatures
including the eagle, bear and crow is scrimshawed on ivory. Sun
and star symbols are also prevalent on the side carved claws.
Mark Stone created the claws from pieces of elephant ivory. The
beads include jade, ivory, bone and glass with an adjustable
length of chain at the back.
Ivory Items are Now Illegal to Sell or to Purchase
The Department of Interior has banned all elephant ivory sales
as of February 25th, 2014
