Sir Winston Churchill
This interesting piece, approximately 2 ¼” x 3”,
was commissioned by a collector. She provided the photograph
to use then left the design up to me. I thought the classic pose
called for traditional black scrimshaw. One of the fascinating
things about scrimshaw is the way you can customize it to any
design. It always interests me to discover what a collector chooses
to have created for them and the significance behind it. |
